Allan Bealy

Allan Beal is an artist, graphic designer, and former art director based in Brooklyn, New York. His practice centers on collage and mixed media, combining vintage imagery, found materials, and distressed paper surfaces that are then transformed into layered compositions that explore, narrative, and unexpected visual connections. Through a process of cutting, layering, altering, and reassembling, Bealy transforms fragments of existing imagery into evocative visual worlds that balance humor, mystery, and subtle dissonance.

In the 80s, Allan was co-publisher of Benzene, an arts magazine in New York and has had several books of his collages published, most recently: Tokens by Red Fox Press in 2023. He has had solo exhibitions in Canada, Sweden and the United States and has been represented in numerous group shows.
