About Us

CHIPMUNK is dedicated to the development of collaborative projects and the presentation of contemporary art through exhibitions, limited editions, and publications. We are a gallery, an archive, and an independent publisher.

Through our programs and initiatives, we seek to expand access to contemporary art within rural environments while providing artists with a platform to present their work, engage new audiences, and develop new projects.

In 2020, the co-directors of Honeycomb Arts, a contemporary art gallery and artist collective active from 2008 to 2016 in Buenos Aires, relocated to a small town in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

CHIPMUNK emerged in response to this transition, shaped by three intentions: to continue building a network of diverse artists, to present contemporary visual art in a place where it would not normally be shown, and to create meaningful opportunities for rural communities through which they can engage with contemporary art.

We are committed to continue promoting our Latin American artists to a new audience and are excited to selectively expand our family with new artists and collaborators.

CHIPMUNK is a space where community members can come to explore and learn, where collectors can view and acquire work, and where artists can present and create. Our projects aim to educate, inspire, spread joy, promote diversity, celebrate cultural exchange, and make things a little nicer for everyone through contemporary art.
